The RSPP Commission on Trade and Consumer Market has been working for over 10 years and brings together representatives of retailers, suppliers, and consumers. During this time, the Commission has repeatedly become a platform for discussing topical issues of development and regulation of the consumer sector in Russia, developing proposals and initiatives aimed at improving the relationships of all market participants.
"One of the most important tasks of the RSPP is to maintain an effective dialogue between the authorities, business and society, and for this we need a strong industry expertise. The specialized Commission on Trade and Consumer Market includes representatives of the largest companies, industry associations and independent experts. I am pleased to welcome Alexander Vinokurov, who is deeply immersed in the development of the Russian trade industry, as the head of the Commission. I am sure that under his leadership, the work of the Commission will be even more dynamic and efficient, " said Alexander Shokhin, President of the RSPP.
“Trade makes a significant contribution to the Russian GDP. It is the largest sector of the economy in terms of the number of employees and the second largest taxpayer in the country. At the same time, the industry has a wide range of challenges that have appeared on the agenda recently and require an adequate response now. The RSPP is a serious body for the development of coordinated proposals and actions of all market participants, including representatives of related industries and industry associations. I hope that together with our colleagues we will be able to give new impetus to the work of the Commission, expand its expertise and industry coverage, involve new members in the work to improve the quality of communication between business and government authorities on the problems of the consumer sector,” commented Alexander Vinokurov.
The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), established in June 1990, is a non-governmental organisation promoting the interests of Russia’s business community. The RSPP was set up to promote Russian business interests in Russia and abroad, to help make Russia more business friendly and attractive to investors, and to maintain the balance of interests of business, Government and society.
