On the final day of the European competition, Marathon-Tula racer Diana Klimova paired with Gulnaz Badykova won the second place in the Olympic cycling discipline of Madison.
The Russian duo won silver against the strongest racers in Europe. Klimova and Badykova went into the silver medal ride and came ahead of titled Brits Laura Kenny and Katie Archibald. Amalie Dideriksen and Julie Leth of Denmark celebrated winning gold while Dutch Kirsten Wild and Amy Pieters came third.

In the competition with the strongest European racers out girls showed lots of character and desire to win. We are especially proud of the Marathon-Tula Cycling Team's participation in the championship and of Diana Klimova. We hope that after this brilliant start she would have a long and victorious career,"- Alexander Vinokurov, the President of Marathon Group and Marathon-Tula Club, stated.
It was only the third race for For Klimova and Badykova where they compete as duo partners. Earlier they have already earned prizes at the international competitions in Italy and won gold of the Russian championship.
